VIDEO ART INSTALLATION

FARMER+FISHERMAN

Commissioned by international conservation organization, Rare, Jason traveled to Colombia and Philippines to make photographs and videos of several of the communities that they and their local partners work with. One special project we produced was a pair of three-channel experiential video art installations: Farmer (3-channels with stereo audio, 2:49) and Fisherman (3-channels with stereo audio, 6:28).

The works were used at an annual fund-raising dinner to help share the day-to-day lives of people who live in the remote communities Rare collaborates with and to provide context that helps to justify the approaches in Rare’s programs. Installations were featured at South By Southwest Eco (SxSW-Eco) in Austin, TX as one of the art installations and exhibitions in New York and Washington D.C.
