UNTIL WE’RE ALL HOME
A series of 10 short films and a feature-length compilation bringing together stories from Denver and Cañon City in Colorado; Sacramento, California; Gulf Coast, Mississippi; Jacksonville, Florida; and Minneapolis/St Paul, Minnesota.
The efforts to address homelessness are as broad and varied as the problem itself. All across the U.S., the stories of people who have experienced homelessness, social workers providing vital support, leaders challenging the status quo, and partners bringing resources and guidance make up a vibrant mosaic that is rarely documented in all its complexity.
For the last year, we’ve been working with Community Solutions to tell the stories of people in six locations across the US that are part of the Built for Zero movement to solve homelessness. The resulting 10 short films and feature-length compilation show these communities striving for solutions, justice, and compassion.

Episode 4: KEEP SHOWING UP
What is it like to be a social worker? Tnanita works to help her unhoused neighbors move into housing and thrive. In a big city like Minneapolis, keeping hope alive in others as well as in herself is a beautiful struggle that takes solid partnerships and the dedication to keep showing up.
Episode 3: Let it grow
In Gulf Coast, Mississippi, the community is leaning on young adults who have experienced homelessness to drive system change. Caitlyn and Samantha, two members of the advisory board for the region’s homeless coalition, share their insights and lived expertise to help redefine how to solve youth homelessness.
Episode 2: Things are turning around
Meet Nathan, a U.S. Army veteran whose journey took an unexpected turn, leading him and his girlfriend to the streets of Denver in freezing temperatures. Their story is a powerful reminder of the challenges faced by those experiencing homelessness. Thanks to the relentless efforts of a coalition led by dedicated VA leaders like Mary and Lauren, Nathan found his way to permanent housing.
Episode 1: Beyond our circles
After a decade of experiencing chronic homelessness, Ralph transitions back into a life indoors, with support from his longtime caseworker, Nikki, and the partnerships in his community that have shaped the system to allow effective change.
